Misen is Daisen’s second-highest peak, at 1709 m, in Daisen, Tottori Prefecture, and the usual summit for hikers. The summer trail climbs through beech woodland and follows boardwalks among dwarf Japanese yews from the eighth station. Clear weather brings views of the Sea of Japan and Shimane Peninsula. The ridge toward Kengamine is severely eroded and dangerous.
