Mt. Yabashira

八柱山

A 2,114.3 m peak in the Kita-Yatsugatake range straddling Chino City and Sakuho Town in Nagano. Reached from Mugikusa Pass via Ame-ike Pond, it is known as a quiet, lightly visited summit; a second-order triangulation point sits at the top alongside an antenna calibration facility used by JAXA for deep-space probe communications. It lies within Yatsugatake-Chūshin Kōgen Quasi-National Park and is included in the *Shinshū Furusato 120 Mountains*.
