Chateraise Ski Valley Koumi trail map
Chateraise Ski Valley Koumi, long known as Koumi Reex, is a resort on the eastern foot of the northern Yatsugatake run by the Chateraise confectionery group. From the 1,780 m top a 2.5 km descent runs to the base, and dry natural snow backed by snowmaking gives good early-season conditions. Families get gentle runs, a kids' play slope, a kids' park and a sledding area, while the 32-degree Eiger run, moguls and a race course challenge stronger skiers. The Gateaux Kingdom Koumi hotel with a natural hot spring sits by the slopes, and day tickets can be swapped for Chateraise Ski Valley Nobeyama on the same day.

Town bus does not run on 1/1 and 1/2 → About 20 min by taxi (about ¥4,000 one way), or Koumi town bus (Matsubarako Line) to Chateraise Gateaux Kingdom Koumi, about 40 min, ¥400 one way (dep. Koumi Station 9:38 and 13:18)
