Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai Ski Area trail map
Shirakaba Kogen Kokusai sits on the Shirakaba plateau northwest of Mount Tateshina in Tateshina, Nagano, on former pasture land, so its runs are wide and even beginners can ride down from the top, with views over Lake Megami and Utsukushigahara. A gondola and chairlifts serve the slopes, which include a 5 km cross-country and Challenge route, the intermediate-to-advanced Thoroughbred and White Horse runs, and tree runs when snow is deep. Lift tickets are shared with the neighbouring Shirakaba 2in1 ski area, and a family pack lets one preschooler ride free with each adult. The Shirakaba Kogen Hotel stands at the foot of the slopes.
