Mt. Yashigamine

Yashigamine (1,833 m, the central summit) stands on the ridge running southeast from Lake Shirakaba toward Mt. Tateshina, on the boundary between Tateshina Town and Chino City in Nagano Prefecture. Within Yatsugatake-Chushin Kogen Quasi-National Park, the ridge comprises an eastern peak (1,869 m), the central peak (1,833 m) and a western peak (1,757 m). It is best known for its panoramic vista of Mt. Tateshina, Kurumayama and Kirigamine, and for the azalea fields of Yashigamine Park, and is promoted by the Shirakaba-ko Tourism Council together with the Chino City information centre.
