A mountain hut at Shogundaira, 2,350 m high on the northeastern shoulder of Mount Tateshina. It is about 1.5 hours from the seventh-station trailhead, 1 hour 40 minutes from Ogawara Pass, and 30 minutes below the summit, at a junction of four trails. A viewpoint two minutes away overlooks Tateshina and Yatsugatake, making the hut a convenient base for sunrise viewing and a summit climb.
