Blanche Takayama sits on a high plateau in Nagawa at close to 1,800 m, and is known for clear skies and firm, fast machine-made snow the resort calls Solid Snow. From the summit you can see from Mt Fuji to the Northern Alps, and the signature beginner run winds 2,100 m down between frosted fir trees. The nine runs split evenly between beginner, intermediate and advanced, including a natural mogul pitch, while the lower area has sledding, tubing and a nursery for families. Skier-only since it opened in 1985, it has allowed snowboarders since the 2025-26 season. It is a short drive beyond Lake Shirakaba.
