Kurumayama Kogen SKYPARK Ski Resort spreads over the northeast face of Mt. Kurumayama (1,925 m), the highest point of Kirigamine in central Nagano, and is known for frequent clear skies and big views. From the summit terrace you can see the Yatsugatake range, the Southern Alps and Mt. Fuji, and even beginners can ride to the top and cruise the 2 km Panorama course to the base. Snowfall is modest, but the cold, high slopes are covered by snowmaking from top to bottom. A large kids' snow park with tubing and sledding, plus a nursery, makes it popular with families. It is close to Suwa IC on the Chuo Expressway.

Shinkansen Sakudaira Station Hokuriku Shinkansen → No direct bus: Chikuma Bus toward Tateshina to Tateshina Town Office, then a bus toward Shirakaba Lake to Higashi-Shirakabako, then change to a bus for Kurumayama Kogen or Kami-Suwa Station (2 transfers)
