Mt. Nishi

A 2,398 m peak in the southern Yatsugatake range in Fujimi Town, Suwa District, Nagano, lying just northwest of Mt. Amigasa. It is commonly walked as part of a Fujimi-Kōgen loop with Mt. Amigasa, and the open summit holds stone Buddhas and steles tied to the area's mountain-worship tradition along with rich alpine-plant communities. The peak appears in the Tokyo-area 350 Mountains and the *Shinshū Yamaaruki* lists, and lies within Yatsugatake-Chūshin Kōgen Quasi-National Park.
