Mt. Yokokawadake

Yokokawadake is a 2,478 m peak on the border of Minami-Alps City (Yamanashi) and Ina City (Nagano), set just north of the lowest saddle on the Senshio (or 'Baka') Ridge of the northern Akaishi range. The name comes from the source streams of the large and small Yokokawa valleys on the Nagano side. The forested summit offers no views, and the trail makes right-angle turns at the top, requiring attention from through-hikers. The peak lies within Minami-Alps National Park and is a quiet way-point on the long Senjō-Shiomi traverse, listed among Japan's 2,000-metre mountains.
