Komagane Kogen Ski Resort trail map
Komagane Kogen is a family ski area only about 2 km from the Komagane exit of the Chuo Expressway, which makes it very easy to reach by car. Two pair chairlifts serve the gentle Suzuran run, topping out at 24 degrees, and the Shirakaba run for stronger skiers, with pitches up to 32 degrees. Natural snow is light, so the slopes rely on snowmaking helped by cold nights. A sledding area and short lift-plus-rental packages make it easy for first-timers, and several day-use hot springs are a few minutes away by car.
