Yabuhara Kogen Ski Resort trail map
Yabuhara Kogen, in Kiso village deep in the Kiso valley of Nagano, is one of the largest ski areas in the Kiso region, with 13 runs laid out along a valley. From the summit of Mt. Tachigamine there are wide views of Mt. Ontake and Kisokomagatake, and the longest cruise runs 3.6 km. Terrain ranges from wide beginner slopes and a sledding area at Maruyama to a permanent mogul course and KABE, an ungroomed 42-degree wall, and the resort is known for careful grooming on the rest. It is about 10 minutes from National Route 19, or about 35 minutes from the Ina exit of the Chuo Expressway through the Gonbei tunnel.
