Shinshu-Matsumoto Nomugitoge Ski Resort trail map
Nomugitoge, in the Nagawa area of Matsumoto, is known for one long descent: from the 2,130 m summit, runs drop 730 m over about 4 km. Its high inland location brings light, dry natural snow, and the lifts look out over Mt. Norikura, the Hotaka peaks and Mt. Ontake. The long, narrow mountain leans towards steeper intermediate and advanced terrain, including an ungroomed run, while a family slope, a snow-play area and a kids' room in the centre house cater to beginners and children. The season runs from mid-December to late March. It is a little under an hour's drive from Matsumoto IC, and a free shuttle bus runs from Matsumoto Station on reservation.
