Hirayu Onsen Ski Resort trail map
Hirayu Onsen Ski Resort is a compact, natural-snow-only hill in the Hirayu hot-spring village of Okuhida, with its base at about 1,300 m for light, dry snow. Its best-known perk is that a day or half-day lift ticket gets you into the nearby Hirayu no Mori day spa for free. Two pair lifts serve three runs: a wide family slope beside the car park, the roughly 2 km Yunohira forest run, and the Giant course, an advanced pitch up to 38 degrees. With no snowmaking, the season depends on snowfall, usually mid-December to late March. It is about an hour by car from Matsumoto, and Takayama is also within easy reach.
