Mount Otaki North Peak

Otaki North Peak is the high point, at 2,616 meters, of Mount Otaki in the Jonen range of the southern Northern Alps, on the border of Matsumoto and Azumino in Nagano Prefecture. The Otaki Sanso hut, operating since the early Showa era, stands in the saddle between the north and south peaks, and the mountain is known as a quiet summit off the busy Jonen-Cho traverse. It lies within Chubu-Sangaku National Park and offers views of the Hotaka range, Yarigatake, Norikura and Ontake.
