Mt. Kurokurayama is a 1,570 m peak in Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, lying within Towada-Hachimantai National Park on the ridge running west from the main summit of Mt. Iwate between Mt. Ubakura and the Onigajō outer-rim of Iwate. The slopes just below the summit hold active fumaroles tied to Mt. Iwate's volcanism, and entry restrictions are sometimes imposed during periods of elevated activity. Climbers cross the peak on the western Amihari traverse from Amihari Onsen, or on the Matsukawa course from Matsukawa Onsen, en route to Mt. Iwate.
