岩手山八合目避難小屋

A refuge at the eighth station of Mount Iwate on the Yanagisawa route from Umagaeshi, about 4.5 hours uphill from the trailhead. It is a principal rest and overnight base for the summit climb. The large 100-person shelter is staffed in summer and autumn, with flush toilets, spring water, blanket rental, and light food sales.
