Mount Eboshi is a 1,109.4 m peak in Minami Ward of Sapporo City, Hokkaido — the highest summit visible from Sapporo's urban core. Its name is usually said to come from the peak's resemblance to an eboshi courtier's hat, though one alternative theory traces it to the Ainu word 'epeshi' meaning 'rocky cliff head'. There is no direct trail from the foot; the peak is reached only by a rough ridge traverse from neighbouring Mount Kamui, suitable for experienced climbers. It is one of the Sapporo 50 Peaks.
