Spring Valley Sendai Izumi Ski Resort trail map
Spring Valley is Sendai's city ski hill on the north-east face of Mt Izumigatake, about 40 minutes by car from downtown, and its big draw is night skiing every evening, running later on Fridays and Saturdays, with views over the city lights. Four lifts, including a high-speed quad, serve 12 runs, with a longest run of 1,400 m, a 36-degree mogul pitch, one of Miyagi's best-stocked terrain parks and the Snow Adventure Kingdom sledding area. A line of snow guns from base to summit keeps cover reliable from mid-December to early April. In winter buses run from Izumi-Chuo station, and in summer it operates as a mountain park.

- Izumi-Chuo Station (stop 2) → Spring Valley Sendai Izumi Ski Area Sendai City Transportation Bureau (city bus) · Runs through to the ski area on weekends, holidays and New Year in the ski season. On weekdays and in April it terminates at Izumigatake Nature Center, where Spring Valley's connecting bus takes over. The 2026-27 through-service period will be announced later
