Mt. Jagadake

Jagadake is a 1,397 m peak in the Funagata massif straddling Miyagi and Yamagata Prefectures, lying on the Miyagi side. It stands on the ridge northeast of the range's high point, Funagatasan (1,500 m), is cloaked in old-growth beech forest, and is climbed together with Funagatasan via the Masuzawa course from the Hatasaka campground trailhead on the Taiwa side. The Funagata range is designated a prefectural natural park in both prefectures.
