Onikoube Ski Resort trail map

Onikoube Ski Resort lies in the Onikobe hills above Naruko Onsen in Osaki, Miyagi, inside Kurikoma Quasi-National Park. The whole area faces north, so light powder lasts late into the season. A gondola climbs over 700 m of vertical to runs such as the Forest Road through beech woods, the ungroomed 34-degree Snake Road and the Tyrolean tree run, while the lower slopes are wide and gentle, with a kids' area and park features for families and beginners. Hotel Onikoube sits right by the slopes, and the hot-spring inns of Onikobe and Naruko are close by. It runs from mid-December to late March, about 50 minutes by car from the Furukawa exit of the Tohoku Expressway.
