Mount Ōshiba

Mount Ōshiba is a 1,083 m peak in the Onikōbe district of Naruko-Onsen, Ōsaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. It rises on the outer rim of the Onikōbe caldera within the Onikōbe sector of Kurikoma Quasi-National Park, encircling the central cone of Mount Arao. The summit lies on the ridge that links neighbouring Mount Koshiba, Mount Hanabuchi and Mount Kamuro, and is commonly traversed together with them; the shortest approach climbs from the former Onikōbe Ski Area at its foot. The mountain is included in the Yama-kei prefectural climbing guide for Miyagi.
