Green Valley Kamuro Ski Area Japanese — Japanese

Green Valley Kamuro is a small one-lift ski area at the foot of the Kamuro range in Kaneyama. Its four runs are mostly gentle, with a steeper slope for stronger skiers, which makes it an easy local hill for families. On some cold Sundays it opens at dawn and leaves one slope ungroomed for fresh snow. A hotel, a restaurant and a hot-spring bath stand beside the slopes, and there are cross-country trails and a sledding area too. It is about 30 minutes by car from Shinjo.
