Tengamori is a city-run ski hill in the mountains of Masuda, Yokote, part of the Tsurikichi Sanpei no Sato countryside park. A pair chairlift and a rope tow serve two runs: the broad, gentle Tengamori slope and the Natsumushizawa trail that winds down through the trees. Lift prices are low, children under school age ski free and primary pupils ride free on the third Sunday of each month, making it an easy local hill for families and beginner to intermediate skiers. The slope is floodlit on Friday and Saturday nights, snowboarding is allowed everywhere, and the season usually runs from late December to early March.
