Kisokoma Kogen Ski Area Closed
Official name 木曽駒高原スキー場 · Formerly 木曽駒高原新和スキー場, 新和木曽駒高原スキー場
Nagano
Open 1962–2005
Kisokoma Kogen was a ski area on the western foot of Mt. Kisokoma in Kiso, Nagano. It grew from a one-lift local hill into a resort that opened in 1962, and at its peak had six lifts including a quad, seven runs between 1,250 and 1,600 m, snowmaking, night and early-morning skiing, moguls and a halfpipe that drew young skiers. Its parent company went bankrupt in 2004; a new owner ran it for one season and it has not reopened since. After a land dispute, the site was reborn in 2022 as Kisokoma Reisui Park, a park with a campground.
