Mt. Nodanishoujiyama

Mt. Nodanishoujiyama is a 1,797-meter peak in the northern Hakusan Range straddling Hakusan City in Ishikawa Prefecture and Shirakawa Village in Gifu Prefecture's Ōno District, featured in the Gifu Hyakuzan, Hida Hyakuzan, Gifu Hyakushūzan, and Ishikawa-no-Yama lists. Located in a designated heavy-snowfall zone exposed to the full force of Japan Sea winter monsoons, its name ("pure-white peak") reflects the late-lingering snow on its slopes. The standard climbing approach is from Magari on the Gifu side via the Hakusan Shirakawa-gō White Road and the ridge through Mt. Sanpōiwadake.
