Hakusan Seymour Ski Area trail map
Hakusan Seymour is a city-owned ski area in the Kawachi district of Hakusan, Ishikawa, and one of the closest proper ski hills to Kanazawa. It opened in 1987 together with a hot-spring development and takes its name from Mount Seymour in Canada, its model and sister resort. Four lifts cover more than 700 m of vertical between about 300 m and 1,030 m, with varied terrain from steep pitches of up to 38 degrees to long cruising runs, and a mogul slope in front of the centre used for SAJ ski tests. Snowscoots and other newer snow sports are allowed everywhere. A shared season pass also covers Hakusan Ichirino Onsen, and the area is reached by car from Hakusan IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.
