Kanazawa Municipal Iozen Ski Area trail map
Iozen is Kanazawa's municipal ski hill on Mt. Kigo, just east of the city and reachable by local bus from Kanazawa Station. Lift tickets are very cheap, with one price for adults and children. Only the Family slope currently runs: a gentle, roughly 10-degree beginner slope served by a single chairlift, with a beginners' practice zone on weekends and a sledding area. The steeper pair-lift courses and a 2 km forest trail were closed indefinitely after storm damage, with the pair lift also too old to keep running. Opening depends on snow, usually from January into February.
