Hakusan Ichirino sits at the foot of Mt. Hakusan beside the Ichirino Onsen hot-spring village and is one of the largest ski areas in Ishikawa Prefecture. A six-seat gondola climbs the 485 m vertical, opening ungroomed steeps of up to 32 degrees, groomed intermediate slopes at Nodaira and a cruising run of about 3 km. The broad, gentle Aiaru slope in front of the centre house, a moving-belt practice area and a Kids Park for sledding make it a natural first stop for families, and the lower slopes are lit on winter weekends. A direct ski bus runs from Kanazawa Station, and one season pass also covers nearby Hakusan Seymour.
