JAM Fukui Katsuyama Mountain Resort, known until 2026 as Ski Jam Katsuyama, spreads over Mt. Hoonji in Katsuyama, Fukui, and is one of the largest ski areas in western Japan. Its 710 m vertical and 5.8 km longest run are split into three zones: Variety, with views over the Kuzuryu River; Fantasy, through beech forest; and Illusion, with steeper pitches and moguls. Gladed tree runs, a snow park and a kids' park of over 10,000 square metres round it out for every level and for families. A slope-side hotel with hot-spring baths and an indoor pool sits at the base, rebranded under Tokyu Hotels as a year-round resort. The season runs from mid-December to early April, about 20 minutes from Katsuyama IC, with a free shuttle from Katsuyama Station.
