WINGHILLS Shiratori Resort trail map
WINGHILLS Shiratori is a resort run by the sports retailer Alpen on the flanks of Mt. Dainichi in the Okumino area of Gifu. A six-seat gondola climbs to the 1,350 m summit in about eight minutes, from where a 3,500 m cruise runs back down. Advanced skiers get steep pitches, a mogul run and a self-responsibility tree-run zone, there is a terrain park, and beginners have an easy route from the top plus a covered moving walkway in the kids' area. A natural hot spring and hotels sit on site, and in summer a 1,000 m artificial mat slope keeps skiing going. It is about 30 minutes by car from the Shirotori exit of the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway.
