Kuzuryu Ski Area trail map

Kuzuryu Ski Area is a city-owned hill in the mountains of Ono, Fukui, a ten-minute walk from Kuzuryuko Station on the JR Etsumi-Hoku Line. Its slopes all face north, which helps the snow keep its quality, and they range from a 220 m-wide open family slope to a downhill run that was the prefecture's first FIS-certified course and the 41-degree ungroomed Challenge runs, with Mount Arashima in view from the top. A mini park, a mini cross course and a walled kids' park round it out. Lift tickets are cheap, especially on weekdays, parking is free, and day-use hot springs such as Heisei no Yu are close by.
