Jumonjiyama is a 2,072-meter mountain on the border of Chichibu (Saitama) and Kawakami (Nagano) in the Okuchichibu range. It stands on the Central Watershed dividing the headwaters of the Arakawa and Chikuma rivers and is linked by ridge to Kobushigatake, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, and Sanpozan, Saitama's highest peak. The old Jumonji Pass road (1,962 m) that long connected Musashi and Shinano crosses nearby, and the pass area is known for its rhododendron. It lies within Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park and is counted among the Kanto 100 Mountains.
