Mountain hut just below the summit of Kobushigatake, inside Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. Kobushigatake, one of Japan's hundred famous mountains, takes its name from the meeting of the three old provinces of Kai (Yamanashi), Musashi (Saitama) and Shinano (Nagano), and the hut sits where the approaches from each side meet the main Okuchichibu ridge traverse. Guests choose between two meals, one meal or room-only, with a 1,000 yen surcharge on designated busy dates, and there is a campsite as well. The season runs from late April to late November. Reservations are taken by telephone between 8am and 8pm. The hut is run by Kobushi Goya Ltd.
