Mount Asahi is a 2,579 m peak in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, near the border with Kawakami Village in Nagano Prefecture, standing on the main ridge of the Okuchichibu Mountains east of Mt. Kinpu within Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. Its rocky summit offers a westward view of Kinpu's distinctive Gojo-iwa rock pillar and lies along the popular traverse from Odarumi Pass to Mt. Kinpu.
