Emergency shelter at about 1,975m along the trail up Mt. Kinpu (2,599m) in Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park, in Hishi, Sudamacho, Hokuto City, Yamanashi. The Hokuto City Tourism Association describes the route as 50 minutes from the free prefectural parking area (100 spaces) to Fujimidaira hut, another hour to this Dainichi hut, then on past Dainichi Rock to the summit, about four hours one way in total. Mt. Kinpu is read "Kinpusan" on the Yamanashi side and "Kinposan" on the Nagano side, and the 15m Gojoiwa rock stands on its summit. The route is rated for intermediate walkers and has several chain sections. No official information covers the hut's capacity or facilities, so water, food and bedding must be carried in.
