金峰山小屋

Mountain hut on the north-west slope just below the summit of Kimposan, the principal peak of the Okuchichibu range, inside Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park. Trails reach it from Mawarimedaira in Kawakami village, Nagano, from Satomiyadaira on the Yamanashi side where Mizugaki Sanso stands, and from Odarumi Pass which has a road; the booking form asks which trailhead you will use. Stays are room-only by default, with dinner, breakfast and rice balls added at extra cost. Reservations go through a form on the official site, and a calendar shows availability day by day. Besides the main season from late April to late November, the hut also opens at weekends through the winter and over the New Year, closing only from March to mid-April. It is run by Okuchichibu Kanko Co. of Kawakami village.
