Mount Ushibuse is a 1,990 m peak on the border between Ueda City and Nagawa Town in Nagano Prefecture, anchoring the northeastern edge of the Utsukushigahara highland in Yatsugatake-Chūshin-Kōgen Quasi-National Park. From the parking lot of the Michi-no-Eki Utsukushigahara-Kōgen and Utsukushigahara Open-Air Museum just below the summit, a 10-minute walk on a maintained boardwalk reaches the top, making it popular with family hikers. The summit offers a 360° panorama spanning the grazing pastures of Utsukushigahara and the Northern, Central, and Southern Alps, plus Yatsugatake and Mount Asama. It is featured in the 東京周辺の山350 list.
