Mount Tsubakuro

Mount Tsubakuro is a 2,105-metre peak in the Mukawa district of Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, lying on the northeastern ridge of the Hōō Sanzan within Minami Alps National Park. It is encountered on the climb from Gozaiseki Onsen to Jizō-dake and the Hōō Hut, reached after a forest of sasa bamboo and hemlock spruce, with a rocky outcrop near the summit affording views of Mount Fuji and the Hōō Sanzan ridge. The route is considered relatively safe and serves as a popular waypoint on the Gozaiseki approach.
