Mountain hut at 2,720m in the saddle between Sunaharaidake and Yakushidake in the Hoo Sanzan of the Southern Alps. Standing on the ridge just ten minutes below the summit of Yakushidake, it is a place to enjoy the view. The usual approach is from the Yashajin Pass trailhead over Tsuetate Pass and Ichigodaira, past Minamiomuro Goya — run by the same family — and up to the ridge; Yamanashi Kotsu buses reach the trailhead from Kofu Station in about an hour and seventeen minutes. The building is prefabricated with some timber construction, offering partitioned sleeping places as well as private rooms. Being on the ridge it has no spring: rainwater is collected for cooking only, and drinking water is bought at the shop. Stays come with two meals, dinner only, or room-only with or without bedding. It opens from Golden Week through late autumn and again over the New Year period.
