Toga Ski Area Closed
Official name 利賀スキー場
Toyama
Closed in 2001
Toga Ski Area was a village-run ski hill behind the hamlet of Kamimomose in the former village of Toga, now part of Nanto, Toyama. It operated from the mid-1970s with one double and one single chairlift, and it was known for having the longest season of any lift-served area in Toyama, running until just before Golden Week. After Snow Valley Toga opened nearby in 1997, operations were concentrated there and Toga Ski Area closed in March 2001. Local children kept practising on the slope until a large landslide hit the site in January 2017.
