Shinhotaka Onsen Ski Area Closed

Shinhotaka Onsen Ski Area was in the Nakao Kogen area of Okuhida Onsen, Takayama, Gifu, about 5 km south of the Shinhotaka Ropeway. Two lifts served seven runs between roughly 1,120 m and 1,300 m, about 180 m of vertical, mostly beginner and intermediate terrain. It closed in the early 2000s and the lifts were removed soon afterwards. Today only the access track to the base and the old car park remain, and the slopes are returning to forest.
