Sanlaiva Ski Resort trail map
Sanlaiva Ski Resort is a city-run ski area on the slopes of Mt. Raiba, about 4 km northwest of Noboribetsu Onsen in Hokkaido, right beside the small hot-spring village of Karurusu Onsen. Of its three pair lifts and seven runs, one lift and the two steepest runs, the advanced Dynamic and the Panorama, are currently suspended, leaving five beginner and intermediate runs such as the gentle Family and White courses that suit beginners and families. Residents of the Iburi region can rent a full outfit at a resident rate. The season runs from mid-December to late March. It is about an hour by car from New Chitose Airport, parking is free, and a hot-spring soak is minutes away.
