Official name 志賀高原木戸池スキー場
Nagano
Open 1955–2017
Kidoike was a small ski area in Shiga Kogen, beside Kidoike pond on Route 292 between the Hasuike and Kumanoyu areas. Its single pair lift, built in 1955, crossed a small hill between the pond and the Tanohara marsh and served slopes on both sides, with riders getting off at a mid-station on the summit. It was not linked to the other Shiga Kogen areas, but the shared Shiga Kogen lift ticket was valid. The lift, run by the Kidoike Onsen Hotel, operated for the last time in the 2016-17 season and has since been removed; the south slope is now a lift-free snow area for hotel guests.
