Hoppo Bunadaira Ski Area trail map
Hoppo Bunadaira Ski Area spreads over the gentle Bunadaira slopes on the south-west flank of Higashitateyama in Shiga Kogen's Central Area. Its single broad run, up to 160 m wide, unrolls for about 1.5 km, ideal for learners while offering a few steeper pitches for intermediates. The Bunadaira gondola links up to the Higashitateyama gondola, and at the bottom the slope joins Nishitateyama and Giant, so it is a handy hub for touring the Central Area's 13 linked areas; a 6 km run from the top of Terakoya ends here. It runs from late December to the end of March, and in summer the gondola carries sightseers on the Shiga Kogen Golden Line.
