Grand Sunpia Inawashiro is a hotel-based ski area on the southern foot of Mt. Bandai in Inawashiro, Fukushima, looking over Lake Inawashiro. It began as the slope of Izumigo's Inawashiro Resort Hotel, was sold to Resort Frontier, and from 2015 was run by Inawashiro Resort as Grand Sunpia Inawashiro; a local broadcaster held its ski school there each February. It has been closed since about the 2019-20 season. The operator filed for bankruptcy in 2023 and the business was transferred to DMC Aizu, but no reopening has been announced.
