Inawashiro Minowa Ski Resort trail map
Inawashiro Minowa Ski Resort sits on the western slope of Mt. Minowa in the Azuma range, between Inawashiro and Fukushima City. Its base lies at about 1,050 m, so the snow tends to be dry, and the resort promotes its powder. Eleven runs drop 450 m from the 1,500 m summit, from gentle detour trails to the ungroomed 34-degree Sundance, and the longest descent exceeds 3 km. The area is exposed and often hit by strong wind and blizzards. Closed from the 2024-25 season, it is being brought back by a new town-backed company. It lies on Route 115, about 30 minutes by car from the Inawashiro-Bandai-Kogen and Fukushima-Nishi interchanges, with free parking.
