Adatara Kogen Ski Area sits at Okudake Onsen at the foot of Mt. Adatara, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, in Nihonmatsu, Fukushima, and is run by the Fujikyu group. A quad and two pair chairs serve five runs: the race-used intermediate Andromeda, the advanced Vega, Altair with moguls up top and a forest run below, the wide and easy Gemini, and the gentle Pegasus for lessons, plus a kids' park and a snowshoe park. The on-site Okudake no Yu day spa is handy after skiing. It is about 20 minutes by car from the Nihonmatsu IC.
