Hoshino Resorts NEKOMA Mountain English
English

Hoshino Resorts NEKOMA Mountain covers the slopes of Mount Nekoma, northwest of Mount Bandai in Fukushima. In 2023 a connecting lift joined the former Alts Bandai (now the South Area) and the former Nekoma Ski Area (North Area) into one big mountain you can ride from either side. Around 8 m of snow falls each year, and the resort pushes its dry Aizu powder and expanding tree-run zones; the upper slopes look out over Mount Bandai and Lake Inawashiro. There are terrain parks, a hike-up area, kids' zones and an international ski school, and it is an Ikon Pass destination. The South Area runs night sessions, while the North Area keeps going into early May. Tokyo is about two and a half hours away.
