Chisenupuri is a small, secluded hill on the southern ridge of Mt. Chisenupuri in the Niseko range, next to Yukichichibu Onsen. Rankoshi town opened it in 1977 with a lift and lodge, and it became a local favourite for deep, reliable powder, but falling visitor numbers and an ageing lift ended lift operations in the early 2010s. Today a Niseko operator leases the area and runs snowcat skiing to the top of the old runs for up to 14 guests a day, mixing open former pistes, well-spaced trees and pillow lines over about 275 m of vertical. There are no lifts; the area is about 15 minutes' drive from Niseko.
